DAY 01: Arrival at PARO
The flight from Kathmandu or Delhi can see a majestic mountains view of the
Himalayas including Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, and other Himalayan peaks. Paro
at the elevation of 2280mts is one of the most beautiful valleys in Bhutan. On
arrival at the Airport, representatives of the Tour Company will receive and
escort to the Hotel. After lunch visit Ta Dzong, once the watchtower for the
Dzong, it’s now the National Museum of Bhutan. You can walk from Ta Dzong or
drive for a few minutes to the Dzong. Paro Dzong is one of Bhutan’s most
impressive and well-known Dzongs and the finest example of Bhutanese
architecture. Walk down to the old traditional wooden bridge where your car will
pick you.
Overnight in Olathang Hotel. Built at the small hilltop in the middle of the
pine trees overlooking the beautiful view of Paro valley. Built in 1974 for
guest invited for Coronation of the present king, it’s Bhutan largest Hotel
DAY 02:
PARO-THIMPHU
After breakfast drive to Thimphu. The 61km drive from Paro to Thimphu is 2 hours
along the bank of Pa Chu (river) and Wang chu. After lunch, visit Memorial
Chorten (stupa) built in the memory of third king of Bhutan. National Library
where ancient manuscripts are preserved. Also visit Handicraft Emporium to see
and purchase the beautifully Bhutanese textiles and other high qualities of
textiles from different part of Bhutan are available. Afternoon free and walk
around the town of your own. Dinner at restaurant and a reception by your host.
Overnight in Hotel.
DAY 03:
THIMPHU- SIGHTSEEING
Full day sightseeing in Thimphu valley. Thimphu at the elevation of 2320mts with
the population of about 40,000 people is the recent developed town. The days
sightseeing starts with the visit to Dechen Phodrang monastery, the site of
Thimphu’s original Dzong (fortress). It is now the state monastic school where
you will see lot of small little monks and Zilukha nunnery monastery. Then drive
up to the broadcasting tower to view the whole Thimphu town and on the way back
see the endangered rare species of animal in the world known as Takin, the
National animal of Bhutan. Visit the Painting School where traditional art is
still practiced through the instructions in the art of painting Thangkas (sacred
Buddhist scrolls).
Afternoon, visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest Dzong in the country (built in 1629
AD). Opportunity to visit with some of the monks and observe life within the
monastery. In the old days, the oldest son of every family was offered to a
monastery where the child grew up as a monk. Even now, it is not uncommon for
some families to continue the practice. And in the evening visit Tashichhodzong,
the main secretariat building. This massive structure houses part of the
Ministries, the offices of the King and the Throne Room. It also houses the
State Monastic Body.

DAY 04:
THIMPHU-TASHITHANG
A
drive from Thimphu to Tashithang takes about 5hours. After an early breakfast,
set out for Tashithang. On the way, stop at Dochula Pass (10,00 ft) for a hot
cup of tea/coffee and to enjoy a spectacular view of the eastern Himalayan
mountain ranges (on a clear day).
After lunch, visit the Punakha Dzong which houses the district administration
offices. It is also the winter residence of the State Monastic Body and its
Chief Abbot, the Je Khenpo. Punakha was the former capital of Bhutan. The Dzong
lies between two rivers, the Pho Chhu (Male River) and the Mo Chhu (Female
River). This Dzong was built in 1637 AD.
Lunch at Hotel Zando Pelri. Continue drive to Tashithang. Overnight in camp.
DAY 05:
TASHITHANG-GEON DAMJI
Today en-route through the high agriculture benches above the Mo Chu (Mo Chu
means female river) into a lush semi-tropical gorge filled with banana trees and
occasionally Takin (Bhutan’s National Animal), Blue Sheep and monkey can be
seen. Overnight in camp. Alt. 2,280m. Distance 17Kms.
DAY 06:
GEON DAMJI-GASA TSACHHU (HOT
SPRING)
The trail through villages, oak and pine forests. Gasa Dzong will be visible.
The hot spring are by the bank of the stream with the pools and the shower
rooms. The water temperature is 40 degree C. which is comfortably warm.
Overnight in camp. Alt. 2,350m. Distance 21Kms.
DAY 07:
GASA HOT SPRING [Halt]
After late breakfast relax take hot spring bath or scroll around the Gasa
village and the Dzong. Overnight in camp.
DAY 08:
GASA HOT SPRING-GEON DAMJI
After climb away from Gasa hot spring the trail winds through villages and
fields. Distance 21Kms. Overnight in camp.
DAY 09:
GEON DAMJI-TASHITHANG-ZOMLINGTHANG
The trail descends from the high agriculture fields to banana trees, creepers
and an occasional you can see Blue Sheep. A short drives to Zomlingthang from
Tashithang. Overnight in camp.
DAY 10:
ZOMLINGTHANG-THIMPHU
Drive to Thimphu takes about 4hours. En-route across Dochula pass. From the pass
if the weather is clear you will see beautiful views of the snow capped
mountains. Rest at Dochula cafe for a cup of hot tea/coffee and snacks. Continue
drive to Thimphu for lunch. Afternoon, sightseeing and shopping. Overnight in
hotel.
DAY 11:
THIMPHU-PARO [Departure]
Early breakfast and drive to Paro Airport for your onward departure flight.

DAY 01:

Arrival at Paro Airport. Meet our representative and transfer to hotel.
Overnight in hotel.
DAY 02:
PARO – THIMPHU
Morning visit Drugyel Dzong, Satsam Chorten Monastery, Kyichu lhakhang and
National Museum. Late evening drive to Thimphu.Overnight in hotel.
DAY 03:
THIMPHU-TASHITHANG [Trekking]
Drive to Punakha takes about 3hours. On the way view the great Himalayan ranges
from the Dochula pass. After lunch visit Punakha Dzong and continue drive to
Tashithang. Overnight in camp.
DAY 04:
TASHITHANG - GEON DAMJI [Trekking]
To day's hike is through the village of Geon above the Mo Chu river into a lush
semi-tropical gorge filled with banana trees and occasionally encounters Takin,
the national animal of Bhutan. Overnight in camp. Alt. 2,280m. Distance 15Kms.
DAY 05:
GEON DAMJI - GASA HOT SPRING [Trekking]
The trail runs through the villages, fields, oak and pine forests. Overnight in
camp. Alt. 2,350m. Distance 15Kms.
DAY 06:
GASA HOT SPRING – HALT
Late breakfast and rest of the day relax in the Hot spring or walk around the
Gasa village. Overnight in camp.
DAY 07:
GASA HOT SPRING - GEON DAMJI [Trekking]
After short climb from Gasa Hot spring the trail winds through hillsides and
villages. Distance 16Kms. Overnight in camp.
DAY 08:
GEON DAMJI TASHITHANG / ZOMLINGTHANG [Trekking]
The trail descends from the village above the river into a lush semi-tropical
gorge till Tashithang. Drive down to Zomling thang. Overnight in camp.
DAY 09:
ZOMLINGTHANG – THIMPHU
Drive to Thimphu takes about 4hours via Dochula pass. From the pass if the
weather is clear you will see beautiful views of the snow capped mountains.
Continue drive to Thimphu. Afternoon visit the Memorial Chorten, Nunnery
Monastery, and Handicraft Emporium. Overnight in hotel.
DAY 10:
THIMPHU - PARO [Departure]
Early breakfast and drive to Paro Airport for your onward departure flight.
